This set contains the emaki (picture scroll) version of Hiroshige Utagawa's "Hoeido version of the 53 Stations of the Tokaido", which embarks from Nihonbashi, and an old map.
The upper part of the picture scroll contains "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido Highway", including explanations of Ukiyo-e. The lower part contains "Tokai Kiso Ryodo Nyoroshu Kaiho Zukan" published in 1842 (Tempo 13) as a supplement to help customers deeply enjoy the world of Ukiyo-e.
It also indicates famous and historic places in icons, allowing visitors to learn the location of the places depicted in the Ukiyo-e.
